An accident involving an overturned petroleum tanker has taken place at Pokuase, a town in Ghana’s Greater Accra Region.
Residents hurried to the scene and attempted to grab gasoline from a burning fuel truck, despite the dangers they faced.
Many people could be seen hurrying to get their hands on the fuel from the tanker.
According to the sources, the occurrence occurred at 2:30 in the morning. When the call went out, the fire department was quick to come and disperse the crowd.
The existence or absence of fatalities as a consequence of the incident is presently unconfirmed due to a lack of proof.
This is not the first time some Ghanaians have sought to take advantage of a vehicle carrying goods that have been involved in an accident, and this is one of the few times it involved a vehicle carrying fuel that could have exploded and put lives at risk.
