Ghana’s most decorated musician, BET and MTV award winner, Sarkodie has hinted several times about his desire to win a Grammy— on “Original”, “Illuminati” and other songs.
Not long ago in a freestyle session christened “The Come Up” with rapper Strongman, Sarkodie reiterated his burning desire for him to walk up to that Grammys stage to grab the award.
Upon being the African rapper with the most awards, Sarkodie believes the highest he can go is to kiss a Grammy trophy. However, critical thinking Ghanaians always wonder if that’s possible.
Perhaps it’s at the back of Sarkodie’s obsession with anything Grammy that Ruthy of Nhyira Fm’s “Entertainment Power” show fame has postulated that Sarkodie’s success is NOT complete without a Grammy award.
According to Ruthy, Sarkodie should do everything humanly possible to grab Grammy for himself and Ghana as a whole to complete his success better still achievements in the music industry.
