When news broke somewhere in the month of March 2017 that Sarkodie had signed rapper Strongman unto SarkCess Music label, a bunch of music lovers became happy.
As in the voice of the music enthusiasts, Strongman would be bigger considering the influence of his label boss in the person of Sarkodie in the game.
But barely two years down the line, Sarkodie and Strongman parted ways with the expectation of music enthusiasts never happening.
So, as it stands, Strongman is struggling in the game with his peers like rapper Medikal dropping hits after hits to the enjoyment of lovers of real rap.
It’s at the back of Sarkodie’s little or no impact on the career of Strongman that Nhyira FM’s Ruthy has blasted Sarkodie for his failure to nurture and groom Strongman to be better off.
“To be a successful rapper entails a lot especially one’s voice. One thing that has helped Sarkodie a lot is his voice audibility and modulation which Strongman lacks. So, Sarkodie should have groomed Strongman well as Strongman’s voice sounds too ‘childish;..”
Besides, Ruthy on Nhyira Fm’s Entertainment Power show hosted by DJ Ogidi Brown on Saturday, April 24, 2021, noted that Strongman uses a lot of archaic proverbs in is raps which don’t help him get mass listening.
“I blame Sarkodie. He did very little to help Strongman in his entire stay at SarkCess Music. I can confidently say that no clear-cut change can be seen in Strongman’s style of rap before and after leaving SarkCess Music.
