Felicia Osei, a popular radio host and TikTok star, has confirmed that UTV did pay 21 TikTok users GH3000 to share.
The payment was made when the social media stars went on the TV station’s show, United Television Day with the Stars, to entertain viewers while hanging out with their coworkers.
Then it came out that they had been given GH3,000 to split among themselves, which led to jokes and ridicule on social media.
In response to the article, Felicia Osei said that they were given the money to split, but they turned it down.
She says that they didn’t think it made sense to split the GH3,000 between them.
“We did not go there because we needed money. We went there because we wanted to meet ourselves. It was a privilege that we were invited and it ends there. We were grateful and thought they should keep the money,” she said on Onua FM.
