Edem Badzie Akpenamawu who resides as the Spokesperson for the Anlo Youth Association on Good Morning Ghana on Ghana Montie FM has disclosed that the good people of Anlo are getting things done to organize what they term as a befitting burial of the late Former President Jerry John Rawlings.

A new development that was gathered by TheBBCghana.com further stated that, the good people of Anlo strongly believe in the ideologies of the former late, and they will be tagged as a disappointment if they do not organize a burial service for their son (the late Jerry John Rawlings) as according to their custom.

Edem who spoke on behalf of the association made it known that chiefs and the people of Anlo and generally the good people of Volta Region need to have a feel of their gratitude to their hero who served the region and Ghana as a whole in a more unified way.

“He was our proud son, a father, a brother, and a leader, our chiefs and the entire Anlo lineage sees it as a great honour to organize such a benefitting burial to show our appreciation to him…” – he said.

Meanwhile, His Excellency President Akufo Addo has banned weddings and funerals from been held in every part of the country as part of its measures to curb the spread of the novel coronavirus pandemic which has since taken a new wave affecting almost all the 16 regions of Ghana.
