In response to accusations that his administration is to blame for Ghana’s recent economic woes, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has laughed them off. That’s not what he claims.
People who want to make money through politics are the only ones making these statements, according to the President.
People who term themselves “political opponents” make these types of statements because they keep them relevant, President Akufo-Addo said on January 25.
Perhaps some people do not believe that the current issues of the country have anything to do with the Covid-19 pandemic? This is possible. Because of the country’s bad economic management, they claim, they’re just an issue in Ghana.
I’m not troubled by it because the facts of the situation don’t support this argument.” For the purposes of politics, President Akufo-Addo has admitted that he understands why these falsehoods must be kept up.
COVID-19, according to him, has delayed economic progress in countries large and small alike, including Ghana. Forget the excuses and just say what’s plainly obvious. It’s heartbreaking, but it’s true.
The pandemic has taken a heavy toll on Ghana, but the agriculture sector has been spared because of the effectiveness of Planting for Food and Jobs.
