After meeting with the Minority leadership on Friday, Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta recommended reducing the E-levy from 1.75 to 1.5%.
Close observers say the Minority Caucus was still opposed to the increased rate and urged scrapping the whole E-levy.
This meeting comes after the previous one on January 27, which resulted in a stalemate with both sides holding firm to their stances.
The Majority Leader, Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu, reminded the House of more engagements on the E-levy, hence the inability of the Business Committee to schedule it for the first week of the session.
He hoped the Committee will schedule the proposal for discussion in the second week following stakeholder interactions.
After a two-hour break, the two sides will resume discussions on the E-levy.
