Prophet Dr. Kofi Oduro of Alabaster International Ministry fame says President Akufo-Addo is redeeming his national cathedral commitment through lies and deception.
According to Prophet Oduro, the President and government said no public monies will be utilized for the cathedral.
Prophet Oduro, who favours a national cathedral, told OB Nartey on No.1 FM’s mid-morning show Nyame Nsa Wom on 13 June 2022 that the president and administration are doing it incorrectly.
“Anyone who says we don’t need a national cathedral is missing the point. The necessity for a national cathedral is 100% correct, but the way we’re doing it could offend God, he added.
The national mosque was built without a single cedi from this country. Turkish and Ghanaian Muslims erected it. Why not the cathedral? Why tax the country?
“Somethings are wrong. The president promised God. This technique and procedure cannot redeem that vow.
“It’s perfect. “Your methodology is wrong,” he told the president. “Absolutely wrong.”
“You said state funds wouldn’t be used. We need state funds. Deception. Lies. He said, “You’re building for God.”
In his view, President Akufo-Addo could have invited businesspeople to Jubilee House and asked for funding.
He would have been surprised if just one person gave $100 million toward the cathedral’s construction.
“But the way we’re handling it, we’ll drag all these men of character on the cathedral board into the muck.”
He cautioned, “This national cathedral will harm their prestige.”
