Asante Kotoko, the defending champions of the Ghana Premier League, have reportedly rejected a €50,000 loan offer from Belgian club Royal Antwerp for Imoro Ibrahim.
Summer transfer interest for the youthful and ambitious left defender has been indicated by Jupiler Pro League side.
Antwerp have offered the Porcupine Warriors €50,000 for a season-long loan and €200,000 if he impresses, but the agreement has been rejected by the local media.
It is estimated that the Ghanaian clubs would need €150,000 for a loan and €400,000 for a long-term contract.
Ibrahim Imoro has had a remarkable season in Ghana’s top flight, helping the team win its 25th Premier League title.
In 27 games for Ghana’s most successful club, the Porcupine Warriors, the full-back had an up-and-down season, scoring twice and assisting eight times.
