The Bantama Branch of Dag-Heward Mills’ Lighthouse Chapel has been closed down by a group identified as Asante Force.
The closure of the church comes at the back of Bishop Dag Heward-Mills’ making unsavory comments about the Asantehene.
Although Dag Heward-Mills has rendered an unqualified apology in a letter addressed to Manyhia, the group (Asante Force) still went on to close the church.
Bishop Dag Heward-Mills’ apology was deemed as an insult and was rejected by the Manhyia Palace.
A reply was sent to him to come before the king in person to offer a verbal apology. The group, gave a reason for closing the church saying until Manyhia accepts the apology, they will make sure all lighthouse churches will remain closed in Asanteman.
Consequently, Twene Jonas has envisaged that it’s high time Ghanaians considered converting churches into factories to employ more Ghanaians starting with Dag Heward Mills’ Light House Chapel.
