Ghanaian Premier League Giants, Ashanti Gold has been demoted to the 3rd tier of Ghana football (second division) after being found guilty of betting and match manipulation.
The decision, according to the Ghana Football Association, takes effect from the 2022/2023 season.
The officials and players involved in the act have also been sanctioned by the FA.
The President of the Club, Mr. Kwaku Frimpong has been banned for 10 years from all football-related activity and fined GHS 100,000 for his involvement.
