Outspoken politician Samuel Nartey George recently disclosed that the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has chosen Chris Hughton as the next head coach of the Black Stars.
Otto Addo resigned as head coach of the senior national team after Ghana was eliminated from the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
But Ningo-Prampram lawmaker Sam George thinks the Ghana FA has already decided to choose someone they can “manage.”
They’ve already granted Chris Hughton the head coaching position, so why are we bothering with this charade, he wondered aloud on Joy Prime.
They gave it to him because they need someone they can utilize to get things done, someone they can order to bring in the players they want for the team (after making adjustments for free agent callups), and it doesn’t matter how long it’s been since they’ve played or not.
People are making money off of GFA, and that money is being used to put food on the table for their families.
According to Super Obondede, a sports journalist for Light FM, Chris Houghton is not a good enough coach to lead the Black Stars.
Super Obondede claims that Chris Houghton is coasting on his reputation as a former member of Tottenham Football Club but has little understanding of modern coaching methods.
