A close relative of Joana, a contestant in the ongoing TV3’s “Date Rush” reality show, has made it emphatic that Joana is mentally ill and a drug addict who was deported by her parents from the US to Ghana.
According to the relative, Joana was in a rehabilitation centre in the US for months as a result of her drug addiction before her parents took a firm decision to evacuate her from the states to Ghana.

The source claims Joana is still mentally sick and as a result, she was once suspended as a registration officer at the National Identification Authority (NIA).
Therefore, Ghanaians on social media are calling on TV3 to do a lot of proper background checks on contestants before qualifying them to appear on “Date Rush” reality show.
