Thiago Silva is set to join Chelsea as a free agent after a successful spell at Paris Saint Germain.
The hard rock Defender who joined PSG from AC Milan spent 7 years with the French side wearing the captain armband for 289 times (most by any other player in the club history) winning 23 trophies in the process, has agreed on a deal to join English side Chelsea FC.
The blues manager, Frank Lampard considers the 35year old Brazilian centre half as a better option for his defence considering the fact they conceded 54 league goal in the previous campaign due to inexperience and leadership at the back.
Thiago in an interview earlier on denounces the rumour that he agreed to terms to join Fiorentina as he finishes off his contract with PSG. He further said,
“I want to play for 3-4 years more and be part of Brazil team in Qatar World Cup”.
