On Saturday, March 19, 2022, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo joined past and present students of St. Augustine’s College to celebrate the school’s 92nd Speech and Prize-giving Day.

According to him, Ghana’s troubles are not unique to Ghana, since many other countries face similar issues.

He said the Ghana Coronavirus Alleviation and Revitalisation of Enterprises Support (CARES) Programme would soon get Ghana out of the problem.

He indicated that the administration is well aware of the country’s economic problems and is doing all possible to prevent a financial meltdown.

“I am certain that our economy will recover quickly from the pandemic’s ravages, delivering stability, growth, progress, and prosperity for all Ghanaians,” he remarked.

Despite the country’s challenges and alarming debt/GDP ratio, the Minority advises the government to seek IMF aid.

As a result of the weakening of the native currency versus major trade currencies, the Minority demanded Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s resignation.
