When our hopes were down as a country, and we needed a facelift, a campaigner for social reforms, free and reliable health care, free maternity care among others, Former President John Agyekum Kufour was more than ready to sacrifice all that he could for mother Ghana.

Born in the year 1951, John Agyekum Kufour remains a proud student of the pride of Ghana secondary education thus Prempeh College, Osei Tutu Boarding School, Lincoln Inn, and University of Oxford respectively.

Married to Former First Lady, Madam Theresa Kufour, the two love birds were gifted with great children who are also making Ghana proud.

The celebrated lawyer and legislature became the President of Ghana from 7 January 2001 to 7 January 2009 and was marked with unprecedented policies. Free maternity care, National Health Insurance Policy among others are all policies that John Agyekumm Kufour will always be remembered for.

As we get ready for a heated presidential and parliamentary elections, I am wondering where this charismatic leader is, where he has been all this while and what his state of health as of now.

With his eight years experience as the first gentleman of the land, I will suggest Former President John Agyekum Kufour comes back into the political limelight and educate us on the need to ensure a peaceful and transparent election. The New Patriotic Party (NPP) as well as Ghana in general needs your wisdom at this time.

John Agyekum Kufour will forever remain in our hearts. Haven’t you miss him?
