So far, Ghana has as of now held six (6) peaceful general elections, with the seventh (7th) general elections thus presidential and parliamentary elections slated to take place on December 7, 2020.
The Electoral Commission which is headed by Mrs Jean Mensa has a good run for their money as the largest opposition party, National Democratic Congress (NDC) through derived political tactics and propaganda have tried all that they could just to distract that activities and intentions of the commission.
After losing two legal suits one at the Supreme Court and the other at Adenta High Court, the NDC later planned to stage Ketu south Constituency with their party members as they see that place to be their stronghold of which their bitter rivals, ruling NPP have also deployed soldiers with reasons of not allowing a foreigner to participate in the new voters’ register.
When all is set and done, come December 7, 2020, Ghanaians for that matter eligible voters will be made to vote and elect a new set of parliamentarians and president in a parliament and presidential elections.
One needs no to tell you that His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo Addo remains clairvoyant of retaining seat but one can’t be so sure since John Dramani Mahama has once been to the presidential seat and come again victrious.
When Mahama wins the elections, this will happen?
1. John Mahama’s appointments will largely be dominated by ‘babies’ small boys.
2. John Mahama will reduce the size of the ministers as he has promised.
3. Mahama will build more schools and infrastructure
4. President Akufo Addo might be a one-time president.
5. Free Senior High School might collapse.
