The leader of the biggest opposition party, John Dramani Mahama has reacted to the mechanization of the Electoral Commission (EC) to undermine the electoral process.
During the recent celebration of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) 28th anniversary, the former president made certain pronouncements that shows he’s uncertain at his chances in the next polls, given the dirty schemes of the Electoral Commission and the ruling government under the stewardship of Nana Akufo Addo.
Here are 3 key points he raised to show his victory won’t come easy.
1. He opined that Electoral Commission’s stubborn stance to use of the Ghana Card and Passport which most Ghanaians do not have access to for identification during the compilation of a new voters register is just a deliberate ploy to rig the election in favor of Nana Akufo Addo.
2. John Mahama suggested there’s a huge financial burden on the party. “We are fighting at the national level even with the constraint we face as an opposition party to get the resources necessary for you to prosecute your work”, he said.
3. He emphasized that he would win if the elections will be free and fair.
