National Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Freddy Blay has insisted that former President John Mahama has no campaign message than to fall on tribal lines and accusations against the government.
He stated, “Mahama doesn’t have a message. He is only interested in ‘edey be keke.”
Speaking in an interview on radio, Mr Blay explained that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) are playing on the emotions of Ghanaians, a situation he described as dangerous.
“They don’t have anything to tell Ghanaians… that they will do this or that when we come to power,” he said.
On NPP’s message to Ghanaians, he said, “Nana Akufo-Addo is creating the environment for Ghanaians through free SHS, creating an environment for jobs, creating an environment for people to get food and good governance…that is our message.”
He further chided the NDC, “you don’t have a message the only thing is to incite tribal sentiments.”
He added, “Our national constitution frowns against forming party based on tribal and regional lines.”
