The peace of the world was once halted by a certain disease caused by the novel coronavirus first identified in Wuhan, China, and has been named coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) – ‘CO’ stands for corona, ‘VI’ for the virus and ‘D’ for the disease. 

One important notice about this novel coronavirus virus is the symptoms of the pandemic which includes fever, cough, and shortness of breath and in more severe cases, an infection can cause pneumonia or breathing difficulties.

The global novel virus pandemic since its existence has threatened many lives as it lives thousands in danger.

As to how one can prevent himself or herself from this virus, there are some precautionary measures that one needs to protect himself or herself by following the listed precautionary methods.

  1. One needs to stay indoors and avoid overcrowded places.
  2. One needs to use alcohol-based hand sanitizers to disinfect his or her hands from the virus regularly.
  3. One needs to wear a medical face mask if he or she has the virus in other not to spread it.

With our very lives at the prey of the virus, it is very important for us all to spread education on the virus and not to spread fear and the Ministry of Information together with the Health Ministry of Ghana have exhibited a great sense of selflessness by education the populace on the day to day updates as far as the novel coronavirus pandemic is under scrutiny.

An infected person of the virus stands at a greater chance of spreading the virus thereby infected other persons so it was therefore very important in the quest to avert the novel coronavirus by isolating infected persons with the virus from those who are not.
