Major Ayise Ayelsong (Rtd) dies at age 85

The Chief of Dua, The Clan Head of the Asunsua Bisi of Dua Yikene, The Head of family of the Ayise family of Dua Yikene Ayise Ayelkesi, The Aburu Biisi family of Yorogo, The Upper East Regional Branch of Association of Retired Police Officers and the bereaved families regret to announce with deepest sorrow and sadness the transition of our beloved Son, Father, Grand-father, Uncle, In-law and comrade Major Atia Ayise Ayelsong (Rtd) which sad event occurred on the 5th of January 2022 at the Regional Hospital in Bolgatanga.

Having served as a police officer till his retirement in the year 2001, late Major Atia Ayelsong until his demise was a member of the Upper East Branch of National Retired Police Officers Association.

He passed on at age 85.

Funeral arrangements are as follows:

Friday 28th January, 2022 – Conveying of body from the Bolgatanga hospital morgue at 3pm to the family house in Dua Yikene. However, there will be a brief stop-over at his residence in Soe, Bolgatanga.

Later that night, vigil and wake keeping will be held in his honour at the family house (Ayise yire) located close to the Dua Yikene primary school.

Saturday, 29th January, 2022 – Consecration Service and paying of last respect by interested groups – 9:00am to 11:00am at the Forecourt of the family house near the Dua Yikene primary school. Internment will follow shortly thereafter.

Sunday, 30th January, 2022 – Thanksgiving service – 9:00am to 12 noon at Soe Catholic Church in Bolgatanga.
