Majority leader in Parliament, Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu, is backing the appointment of ex-Brighton manager Chris Hughton as Black Stars coach.
The Ghanaian legislator believes the Irish tactician can transform Ghana’s ‘average materials’ into a good team, as he has done with clubs in the English Premier League.
Meanwhile, the Ghana Football Association are reported to be interested in making Borussia Dortmund deputy manager Otto Addo coach.
“Chris Hughton is a coach who knows how to build with average materials and that’s Ghana’s situation now. Our materials are not good so we need Chris to weld. Otto Addo is just a second coach for Dortmund,” he told Angel FM.
Chris Hughton has been in Ghana for holidays but met the family of Hudson-Odoi to talk football related matters.
It is reported that, Hughton could help Ghana’s pursuit of the English-born Chelsea star, who remains adamant to play for the Three Lions after continuously being snubbed by Gareth Southgate.
Hudson-odoi has been in Ghana for a short break.
