NDC To Honour Late Jerry John Rawlings With a Vigil Today – Full Details

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) will today Sunday hold a vigil in memory of their late founder, Jerry John Rawlings.

The party held an urgent meeting last Friday chaired by its flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama to decide the way forward after the ex president’s death.

“At a meeting of the Political Committee of the party on Friday morning, we reaffirmed the party’s commitment to celebrating the life of our dear Founder,” a press release signed by General Secretary Johnson Asiedu Nketia said.

It added, “A vigil will be held in Accra at the Obra Spot today, Sunday, from 5:00 pm till midnight.”

The late Former President Jerry John Rawlings passed on at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital which is in Accra at the age of 73.

He was said to have died of the move virus that has claimed many lives across the globe.
