Twene Jonas, a social media sensation, has slammed rapper Sarkodie for using his best songs to criticize Yvonne Nelson rather than addressing current government shortcomings.
Sarkodie’s recent song, “Try Me,” was addressed at actress Yvonne Nelson and follows accusations made in her book, I Am Not Yvonne Nelson, about a terminated pregnancy involving the rapper. Jonas, known for his vocal thoughts on social and political issues, voiced dismay in Sarkodie’s latest song, “Try Me.”
Jonas chastised Sarkodie for allegedly exploiting his ability to dupe Ghanaians into voting for President Akufo-Addo, whom he blames for the country’s present woes. The vocal critic questioned the rapper’s allegiance to the people and emphasized Ghana’s continuous challenges and suffering under the current administration.

“So Sarkodie, you can rap like this and you made Ghanaians vote for President Akufo-Addo as president. See how people are suffering because of your song ‘Happy Day’,” he said.
He thought Sarkodie’s support for the president led to the continuation of challenges, and he chastised the musician for failing to use his position to push for good change.
