Over the weekend, The Taste of Afrika crew spearheaded by Tengol K. Kplamani traveled all the way to the capital of the Northern region to meet His Royal Majesty Ndan Ya-Na Abukari II and other dignitaries.
The main objective of the visit has to do with the upcoming launch of the Cultural Oneness festival put forth by The Taste of Afrika slated for 28th April 2023 at Tamale inside Radach Lodge and Conference Center.
The Taste of Afrika was warmly received by Kofi Owusu under the instructions of Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) northern regional director Mr. Angelo Yossi Dogbe to meet delegations of Gbewa and Gulkpe Naa Palace at Yendi and Tamale respectively.
Addressing The Taste of Afrika crew, Gulkpe Naa was extremely much grateful and happy to see another feat happen on his land as anything creative arts has what it takes to promote and project the region to the global world.
“I am very happy today to receive a delegation from The Taste of Afrika for having the northern region at heart by choosing to launch this mega event in Tamale. I believe everyone will be at the event to support the launch of the Cultural Oneness festival on Friday, 28th April 2023”, he said.
Besides, the Northern regional commander DCOP Mr. Duuti Tuaruka and Superintended Mr. Baba Ananga Bernard, regional crime officer, expressed their willingness to provide maximum security before, during and after the launch of the upcoming Cultural Oneness festival by The Taste of Afrika.
“I assure whoever will attend the launch to feel free and come as security will be well sorted on the day. And I promise that everyone will feel safe during and after the event on April 28 at Radach Lodge and Conference Center.” DCOP Mr. Duuti Tuaruka assured.
Also, Chief Alhassan Issahaku – chief director, regional coordinating council, Northern region, Mr, Abubakari Iddrisu Saeed, regional director – Centre for National Culture, Tamale, Hotels Association President of Tamale and Tour Guide Association President of Tamale, other dignitaries welcomed the initiative wholeheartedly as driven force for opening up the region.
