An insightful observation regarding life abroad was made by a Ghanaian woman who has been living in Jordan since 2016.
On board, Ruthy struck up a conversation with a Ghanaian woman who cautioned her against leaving the country unless she was guaranteed a monthly income of at least 2,000 Ghana cedis (GHC).

She has been working as a home care worker in Jordan for six years now, and she says that the work is rather monotonous, especially the ironing.
She explains that most Ghanaian women who have migrated to Jordan have abandoned home care jobs in favor of prostitution because of the harsh working conditions.
She didn’t write off the idea of seeing the world, but she did urge anyone considering a trip overseas to give it serious consideration beforehand.
