One won’t be far from right to say that music in the Ashanti regional capital, Kumasi is dead considering the fact that all artistes making wave in Ghana as we speak are Accra-based.
Although FlowkingStone of Bradez fame has been trying his very best to keep things going, man is conspicuously missing in the game as he’s bleeding for a hit song.
Regardless, all hope is not lost for folks who love to see a change in music cooked from Kumasi as there’s one budding artiste named Yaw Ray who’s is signed onto CB Records.
Taking into consideration the lyrical dexterity of Yaw Ray, it’s no surprise that celebrated Kumawood actor, Kwadwo Nkansah alias Lilwin has thrown his full support for Yaw Ray.
In footage sighted by The BBC Ghana, Lilwin pleaded to Ashanti regional folks including his fans to give Yaw Ray, “Boa Me” hitmaker their full support so that he can bring back the musical spirit in the region.
