Former Ghanaian President John Dramani Mahama’s bid to run for president again has been called into question by a journalist with Accra-based Peace FM Odi Ahenkan Kwame Yeboah.
This nation should not let somebody who previously reigned rule again, the journalist stated.
Odi Ahenkan, in a radio interview on Peace FM today, believes that past Ghanaian leaders have been manipulating the minds of Ghanaians for far too long.
In my opinion, a person who has previously controlled the country should not be able to reign again. As he put it, “They’ve messed with the psyche of Ghanaians.”
According to Odi Ahenkan, if he ever becomes president of Ghana, he would abolish ex-gratia and prohibit government employees from getting medical treatment outside of Ghana.
As a result, he claims, he would eliminate constitutional provisions that grant executive branch officials an excessive amount of authority.
His remark follows Franklin Cudjoe’s admonition that the opposition NDC should not think that the 2024 general elections are a foregone conclusion.
