Abronye DC born Kwame Baffoe has described NPP supporters who voted skirt and blouse during the 2020 presidential and parliamentary elections as stupid.
“55% of NPP supporters are stupid. Why are you calling me for an appointment? Go to the NDC MPs you voted for.”
For the purpose of education, Skirt and Blouse voting is a term in the politics of Ghana where a voter chooses the presidential candidate of one party and a parliamentary candidate of another party on the same ballot. It is an alternative name for split-ticket voting.
In a video sighted, Abronye DC can be seen raining insults on supporters of NPP who according to him caused the abysmal performance of the party in the parliamentary elections.
The NPP this time round cannot boast of a majority in Parliament. In the just-ended elections both the NDC and NPP secured 137 seats in Parliament.
Bu the good news is that Lawyer Asiamah Amoako (Fomena MP), the independent candidate, has sided with NPP giving the party a slight victory over the NDC.
Abronye DC who happens to be the Bono Regional Chairman for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) could not hide his anger called out all members of the party who decided to vote skirt and blouse indicating such persons are responsible for the unfortunate development.
What baffles him is the incessant calls by some of these supporters for an appointment.
“You spew gibberish and later send Chairman a message that you want an appointment; you want your mother. Idiot!” he fumed with rage while stressing that executives of the party must not be attacked for the number of seats secured.
“You practice skirt and blouse but call for the head of Chairman Wontumi. You want him to resign? What have you done for the party? How did you vote? Why vote for our presidential candidate and fail to vote for the party’s parliamentary candidate? Are you sensible than Chairman Wontumi?” he asked.
“You voted for Nana Addo but voted for an NDC parliamentary candidate but you’re a member of the NPP. You’re now calling us to ask if it will be easy for the government with such parliamentary figures. It will be easy for your mother. Enough of the tomfoolery,” Abronye berated again.
