Egoism, ignorance and pride are widely regarded as negative traits. It’s vital to control your arrogance and practice humility if you want to be successful in life.
Over the weekend, I have read, listen and watch on the media on Abena Serwah Mankosa “benevolence” to the pupils she teaches.
I am convinced with Mikhail Gorbachev’s quote ” sometime’s it’s difficult to accept, to recognize one’s own mistakes, but one must do it. I was guilty of overconfidence and arrogance and I was punished for that”
It’s difficult for Abenah Serwah Mankosa to admit that she erred. I have come to realization that she may be ignorance of the profession code of conduct and that’s where she must as a matter of urgency and in good faith apologize reservedly.
Why is she seeking for media attention? Why is she seeking for public sympathy and to politicize her mistakes? Ah well! My country Ghana.
The last time I checked the code of conduct for teachers it’s written without any ambiguity as follows
a) No teacher shall trade or transact any private financial business on the premises during school hours.
b) No teacher shall perform unofficial duties or activities during school hours without the permission from the head of his/her institution.
What you were doing is it your official duty you were posted to do? Did you ask permission before you undertook what you did? Were you posted to serve feeding programme food? Were you posted for snapping pictures of your pupils?
What has motivated you to tarnish the image of District Education Director and DCE for public ridicule?
