With the novel coronavirus pandemic that many couldn’t stand, President Akufo seems to be on the good side as he has snubbed death in this regards.
Honourable Carlos Kingsley Ahenkorah
Carlos Kingsley Ahenkorah, popularly known in our political discourse as Carlos Ahenkorah is a seasoned Ghanaian politico, Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry, the Member of Parliament of Tema West constituency on the ticket of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) and an entrepreneur per excellence.
The 54-year-old Carlos Ahenkorah tested positive for the novel coronavirus pandemic and was admitted at the isolation center of the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital (KBTH) in Accra.
The first lecturer in freight forwarding at the Regional Maritime University from 2002, Carlos Ahenkorah visited his constituents (Tema West Constituency) in the ongoing new voters’ registration exercise.
Sincerely Mr Ahenkorah admitted in a live interview that he had tested positive for the novel coronavirus pandemic and was later forced to resign from his position following his admission of breaching the novel coronavirus pandemic safety protocols and precautionary measures by visiting the new voters’ registration center after testing positive for the virus.
This was in relation to the numerous brouhaha that surrounded his coronavirus protocol breaching the coronavirus protocols that came from the largest opposition, National Democratic Congress and a section of Ghanaians’.
Though the novel coronavirus has caused the death of many prominent politicians in Ghana, Honourable Carlos Ahenkorah was later confirmed by the Director-General of the Ghana Health Service (GHS) who is in the person of Dr Patrick Kuma-Aboagye as he disclosed that Mr Ahenkorah has obtained two consecutive negative laboratory test results for coronavirus and was then given the green light to proceed on work.
According to many Ghanaians like myself, Honourable Carlos Ahenorah acted honourably be resigning from his post to deter other Member of Parliaments (MP) from doing same since we are in an election year when politicians can remain indoor despite their status.
Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh
Honourable Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh was born in the year May 23, 1968, and hails from Pakyi No. 2 in the Ashanti Region of Ghana.
He had his first appearance in Parliament of Ghana after the 2008 Presidential and Parliamentary election of which he won.
Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh who currently serves as the Minister of Education under Nana Akufo Addo led administration was recently in the news for the reasons.
Firstly the Member of Parliament for Manhyia Constituency in the Ashanti Region of Ghana tested positive for the novel coronavirus pandemic later followed by the news concerning his recovery from the virus as also confirmed by the Ghana Health Service (GHS).
Though coronavirus remains deadly and many people who are aged are not likely to survive it, Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh saw the symptoms of the deadly virus but failed to succumb to it.
Honourable Kennedy Kankam
Honourable Kennedy Kankam is a Ghanaian politician an entrepreneur who remains the Member of Parliament (MP) for the good people of Nhyiaeso Constituency in the Ashanti Region on the ticket of the ruling The New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Member of Parliament (MP), Kennedy Kankam together with his family, escaped an assassination attempt when three unidentified gunmen allegedly raided his Nhyiaeso residence.
