A Facebook user, B.K. Aklama has expressed his candid observation on the increasing rate of prostitution in Ho, the Volta Regional Capital.
According to him, the ‘ashawos’ at mirage claim their price is 400ghc per night. Some other people who also have similar experiences added that there are other places such as KK House, Degash, Alinda Hotel, just to mention a few as other hotspots of prostitution. They also added that the prices can be as low as 50ghc.
But to some, most of the sex workers are Nigerians living in Ho. Whereas others also pointed out that it is being done by some university students to make ends meet.
