The President of the Republic of Ghana, His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo acting in compliance with COVID-19 protocols has taken a precautionary self-isolation from today July 4th 2020.
In a statement issued by the Minister of Information, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, the President has elected to do so after at least one person within his circle tested positive for COVID-19 today.
The BBC Ghana gathered this information from the official twitter handle of the Ministry of Information as signed and sealed by the Minister of Information who is in the person of Honourable Kojo Oppong Nkrumah.
Our sources gather that one of the officials who works in the flagstaff house has tested positive for coronavirus and the person is said to be closed to the president.
Meanwhile, 120 doctors across the country have all tested positive for the novel coronavirus pandemic according to the Ghana Medication Association.
