1. John Asiedu Nketiah – General Mosquito
Born Johnson Asiedu Nketiah as popularly known in our political discourse as General Mosquito remains the General Secretary for the largest opposition party in Ghana; the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Mr Johnson ASiedu Nketiah is the longest serving General Secretary of the NDC and, by extension, any other political party in the history of Ghana.
Asiedu Nketiah as affectionately called worked as a rural bank manager, a classroom teacher, a stock-broker, and also as a banker.
2. Former President John Dramani Mahama – JM
Former President of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama is a notable father, a former classroom teacher who taught history, and a former President of Ghana who served as both a vice president and a president.
John Dramani Mahama is the first vice president to take over the presidency from the death of his predecessor, John Evans Atta Mills, and he is the first head of state of Ghana to have been born after Ghana’s independence. He was elected after December 2012 election to serve as full-time President.
Honourable Hawa Koomson, Minister for Special Development Initiative and also happens to be the Member of Parliament (MP) for Awutu Senya East Constituency on the ticket on the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) was formerly in the news for all the negative good, bad, and ugly reasons.
Madam Hawa Koomson was a classroom teacher and a leading member of Ghana National Association of Teacher Ladies (GNATLAS).
