On 15th July 2019, a South African woman working in the Mall of Africa allegedly at the time made away with R 4million rands. The video of the woman who stole the cash at the time made waves on the internet as many South Africans and other people across the globe blamed her for her unreasonable stealing of R4million.
Well, the case which was since being investigated by the South African Police Service (SAPS) for two years is finally being opened and the 29-year old woman was arraigned in court on Monday.
According to ENCA’s respondent Nqobile Madlala, the case was adjourned until 24th January 2022 due to the absence of the culprit’s Lawyer. The culprit also demanded for more time to make necessary evidences available to defend herself when next she appears in court.
For now, the 29-year-old woman will remain in Police custody until her bail application is heard on the 24th of January 2022.
