King Naa Yakubu Andani Dasana, regent and caretaker of the Northern Ghanaian kingdom of Nanumba, has issued an appeal to all Northern Ghanaian tribes to set aside their differences and embrace peace in order to advance together.
The decision was taken by Naa Yakubu Andani Dasana, who gave his blessing to The Taste Of Afrika’s Cultural Oneness Festival, which would be held in Tamale.
Northern Ghana is home to several ethnic groups, each with its own traditions and customs. Nonetheless, there are commonalities that span all Northern cultural practices. The Damba festival, the fire festival, and others fall within this category.
The Taste Of Afrika, a non-governmental organization, is hosting a festival in Tamale dubbed the Cultural Oneness Festival in an effort to promote togetherness and showcase the rich culture of Northern Ghana to the globe.

Tengol K. Kplemani, CEO of The Taste Of Afrika, paid a visit to the palace of the overlord of the Nanumba Traditional Area, who used the occasion to issue an appeal to all the tribes in the north to set aside their tribal differences and work together for the sake of the people and their progress.
He Overlord went on to say that the Northern region of Ghana has the country’s oldest royalty, making it the responsibility of the locals to promote and profit from their cultural heritage abroad.
This is why he is encouraging other chiefs and traditional rulers to attend the Cultural Oneness Festival in Tamale from December 6th to 9th, 2023.
