Ghana’s global cultural footprint is set to expand as His Royal Majesty Buipe Wura Abdulai Jinapor II, Paramount Chief of the Buipe Traditional Area and Vice President of the National House of Chiefs, is in the United States to headline a major cultural tourism announcement in Harlem, New York.
This landmark moment has been made possible through the work of The Taste Of Afrika Ltd, the Ghana-based cultural tourism organisation behind the Cultural Oneness Festival, in partnership with the Harlem Tourism Board. Their collaboration is forging new connections between Ghana and the African diaspora in North America.

On Thursday, August 14, 2025, during the inaugural “A City Within a City” Cultural Tourism Summit at the Renaissance New York Harlem Hotel, His Royal Majesty will deliver a keynote address and unveil the Harlem–Northern Ghana Partnership, a visionary initiative between the Harlem Tourism Board and The Taste Of Afrika Ltd. The partnership aims to foster cultural exchange, promote tourism, and create sustainable economic opportunities across the Atlantic.
This partnership is not just about tourism; it’s about reconnecting heritage, deepening cultural understanding, and building lasting economic bridges between Africa and the diaspora.
His Royal Majesty’s presence in Harlem symbolizes a proud moment for Ghana, spotlighting Northern Ghana’s unique cultural heritage on a world stage.

The collaboration also serves as a prelude to the 3rd edition of the Cultural Oneness Festival, scheduled for December 10–13, 2025 in Northern Ghana.
The August 14 summit will feature cultural leaders, tourism industry stakeholders, and business owners, setting the stage for a new chapter in Ghana–US cultural relations.
