Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has spoken on the payment of Professional Teachers Allowance.
According to the head of the Government Economic Team who also doubles as the Vice President, he said that Teachers have been paid Professional Teachers’ Allowances’ First Time in the History of Teacher Profession in the Country.
He said, “…fist in the history of this country, teachers are being paid a Professional Teachers’ allowance”.
The Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia made said this in his presentation during the Launch of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Manifesto for the 2020 Elections at the University of Cape Coast (UCC).
Bawumia, who was seeking re-election of the NPP in the December 7 election said the NPP Government has restored Teacher and Nursing Trainees’ Allowances among others.
He noted that Ghanaians should consider the NPP for another term considering the level of success it chocked in the Education Sector within their First Term in office.
