Stephen Atubiga, a member of the communications team of the NDC, has said that the Party might be forced to exhume the body of their late founder and re-bury him their own way if President Akufo-Addo goes ahead to bury him.
According to him, President Akufo-Addo has no business organizing a funeral and burial for the late former President without consulting his Party.
In an interview with Kofi Adomah on Kofi TV, Atubiga was emphatic that even if President Akufo-Addo buries the late statesman in his own backyard, the NDC will exhume the body for a re-burial.
The NDC, since the demise of the late former President Jerry John Rawlings, has claimed that the President, on the cover of the state, is trying to hijack the funeral of their founder.
Meanwhile, the family of the departed former Head of State have announced that there will be no one-week celebration in honour of the former military Head of State.
