Ghana Education Service (GES) has been hit with some controversial deductions in the month of November.
Reports reaching The BBC Ghana indicate that the controversial deductions include, GH¢100 National Teaching Council (NTC) deductions for Teacher License as well as GH¢ 509.55 Teacher Laptop deductions.
There have been allegations of an NTC License Renewal Tax which was deducted on a license that has not been renewed yet.
This has led to about GH¢200.00 increase in the tax being paid by the teachers. And all the deductions put together amount to GH¢1,194.63
