The American Reform Rabbi who served as the president of the Educational Fund for Israeli Civil Rights and Peace Israel S. Dresner’s death came as a shock to many who loved what he do.
It’s with great pain that they share their tributes. He was diagnosed with stage four colon cancer. Dresner dead at 92 on January 13, 2022. He was very active in the Civil Rights Movement and a friend to Dr. Martin Lurthur King Jr.
He was born on April 22, 1929, on the Lower East Side of New York City. Dresner studied at Brooklyn College because he was raised there and the University of Chicago. He achieved a B. A and an M.A in international relations. He then worked for the US Army as an enlisted man, continue to school himself, and was ordained as a rabbi. He worked as a Rabbi until his retirement.

Dresner had stage four colon cancer but was not stated that it killed him. The family is waiting for an autopsy from the hospital to know the cause of his death.
