South Africa has confirmed that the number of Coronavirus cases has now hit an unprecedented 11,350, the highest in Africa.
This was confirmed by the Health Minister Zweli Mkhize Tuesday afternoon.
The positive thing about this latest news is that no new deaths were reported which means that the number of deaths still stands at 206.
In his submission, the health minister stated that there have been 698 new infections, taking the total cases to 11 350 with more than 90% of the new cases were recorded in the Western Cape and the Eastern Cape provinces – with 484 and 148 new cases respectively.
