Controller and Accountant General’s Department (CAGD) is to validate the allowance to be paid hopefully this month.

His Excellency President Akufo Addo together with the Ministry of Education which is headed by the Member of Parliament for Manhyia Constituency who is in the person of Honourable Matthew Opoku Prempeh saw the need to motivate teachers as professional as they are with this said allowance.

The payment was promised to be paid this year as it was late confirmed with a statement of the payment commencing this month of August. The said allowance is said to cover all workers under the Ghana Education Service including both the teaching and non-teaching staff.

Mr Opoku Asamoah who happens to be the management officer from the division was a panellist on Kumasi-based Wontumi FM and he made this statement known in relation to the good works that have been done by His Excellency Nana Addo Danquah Akufo Addo and his NPP government for these few years that they have been into office.

“…His Excellency Nana Akufo Addo have really show that he thinks about teachers and not only makes Senior High School Free but also provides an allowance package for teachers which will serve as a boaster to teachers since they are important in the training of generational leaders. I am with the hope that CAGD validates teachers this month and get the money paid..” – he said.
