Adele Laurie Blue Adkins popular known as Adele is an English songwriter and singer born in London England on 5 May 1988. She is a talented singer and one of the world’s best-selling music artists with sales of over 120 million records made internationally. Adele signed a record deal with XL Recordings after graduating from BRIT School For Performing Arts and Technology in 2006.
Adele released her debut album in 2008 and spawned the UK top-five singles. The debut album was certified 8x platinum in the UK and triple platinum in the US. This earned Adele an honor with the Brit Award For Rising Star and a Grammy Award For Best New Artist.
Adele released her second album,21, in 2011. It was a mega-hit in the 21st century with over 31 million copies. Album 21 was certified 17x platinum and Diamond in UK and US respectively. Billboard also categorized album 21 as the top-performing album in the US chart history, topping 200 for 24 weeks and Adele happens to be the only female artist to stay that long on the billboard.
Adele’s biggest hit since her debut was “Rolling in the Deep”. Some of her songs are; “Someone Like You”, “Set Fire to the Rain”, and “Skyfall” among others.
