The National Council for Curriculum and Assessment (NaCCA), acting on behalf of the Education Ministry has announced the first batch of recommended textbooks for use in teaching the new curriculum at the KG and primary levels.
TheBBCghana.Com can confirm that the first batch consisting of 187 books were announced at a short ceremony on Thursday, with more textbooks expected to be announced next week.
NaCCA through the director in charge of Textbook and Instructional Resources Quality unit welcomes comments and suggestions from school managers, teachers, parents and the general public at large on the recommended textbooks as received by the BBC Ghana education correspondent reports gathered.
This will help textbook writers and publishers to improve the quality of their textbooks. According to the information gathered by theBBCghana.Com, the textbooks which are expected to help facilitate the teaching and learning I’m public schools will be made available to a kindergarten and basic schools across the 16 regions of Ghana.
