Another Ghanaian student has been denied admission at a Senior High School because of his dreadlocks.

The Osei Kyeretwie Senior High School (OKESS) has refused to admit Selasi Yankee because of his religious belief.

19-year-old says he is considering quitting school for good if he wouldn’t be allowed to school with his dreadlocks.

Selasi Yankee with aggregate 15 was placed at OKESS by Ghana Education Service (GES) computer placement system only to be denied admission by the school’s authorities with the excuse that “school regulations do not permit dreadlocks on campus”.

Opening up on Akoma FM, Selasi Yankee revealed that he will rather choose to keep his dreadlocks over continuing with the school if they insist, he shaves the dreadlocks.
