Records available to The BBC Ghana confirm that Francisca Lamini of Keta Senior High Technical School (SHTS) becomes the first female student to make it to the National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) finals in the last eight (8) years.

Underground checks made by TheBBCghana.Com  reaffirmed that no female students have ever appeared at the grand finale after the 2013 contest which featured St. Thomas Aquinas SHS, Presbyterian Boys’ Secondary School and Mfantsiman Girls’ SHS where St. Thomas Aquinas emerged as the winner.

Francisca Lamini, the outstanding young lady, sets this record after eight years as KETASCO made history for the Volta Region in the ongoing 2021 National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) contests.

The school made the first appearance at the grand finale of the 2021 National Science and Maths Quiz contests.

Keta SHTS defeated the Wesley Girls’ Senior High School and the Tamale Senior High School at the Semi-Final to book a place at the grand finale for the first time in the history of the Volta Region.

Although they failed to win as Prempeh College won the grand finale of 2021 National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ), Keta Senior High Technical School especially Francisca Lamini has really made history.
